Class Descriptions:
Beginning yoga practice includes introductions to the basic poses of yoga along with pose breakdowns and modifications. We will practice guided meditation along with basic yoga philosophy. This is more than a physical yoga class. We will look into several limbs of yoga each week! If you are looking for yoga in the traditional sense, this class series will give you an excellent overview of the philosophy of yoga, as well as build strength and flexibility. Each week of the series builds upon the previous week, so regular participation is encouraged!
Intermediate Yoga practice starts to incorporate more difficult poses and stretches the student to help them develop their practice and start working towards a regular home practice as well. Incorporating meditation and yoga philosophy, this class is perfect for those who have participated in the beginning series and are looking for more depth in their practice. It is also suitable for yoga teachers who are looking to deepen their skills and delve more deeply into the philosophy of yoga. Each week builds upon the previous practice, so regular participation is encouraged! Yoga teachers who are registered with Yoga Alliance may use participation in this class as continuing education.
