About Me
My name is Jennifer Monsos

yogafitnesswellness....has grown from a desire to help others achieve wellness.  After practicing yoga for a while, I felt the desire to help others find the peace and wellness I have found.

In 2001, I was not healthy or happy. I was overweight, smoked and worked to much....a three week community education series in yoga changed my life forever. The practice of yoga led me to quit smoking, start walking and lose weight. I ultimately trained for a marathon and then completed my yoga teacher training so that I could help others to find the love of self to learn to overcome the obstacles of addictions and poor health habits.

Various yoga training, workshops and retreats in the Ananda, Anusara, and Ashtanga traditions. Many hours of self-study in philosophy, asana and teaching skills.

Over 2000 hours of teaching experience since 2002.

My Philosophy

Yoga is a path to health and wellness for mind, body and spirit. By embracing the practice of all 8 limbs of yoga, one is able to face life with a new sense of purpose and joy. My goal is to help others along their journey to health and wellness by creating a learning and teaching environment where each student can grow and develop in their own unique way.
